Over 50 Years Committed to Excellence in Everything We Do

Marítima Dominicana was founded in 1971 as a ship agent and stevedore in all ports of the Dominican Republic, including Santo Domingo, Río Haina, Caucedo, Boca Chica, AES Andrés, Barahona, Cabo Rojo, San Pedro de Macorís, La Romana, Azua, Samaná, Puerto Plata, Manzanillo, Palenque, and Bahía de Ocoa.

The first office was established in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo, as the largest volume of import and export cargo was handled nearby at the port of Santo Domingo. When maritime transport developed through the use of containers, these vessels were serviced at the port of Río Haina. For this reason, their new offices and warehouses were built on the access road to the Haina port over 25 years ago.
