This Notice does not apply to any subsidiary or affiliate of Marítima Dominicana, SAS that maintains its own privacy notice.
Our privacy practices apply to the territories in which we operate to reflect local practices and legal requirements.
Content:
We may obtain personal information from consumers (such as their name, contact details, and payment information) in connection with various activities, such as (i) the use of MARDOM GROUP websites and applications, (ii) shipping activities, including delivery and shipment pick-ups, (iii) requests to track shipments or answer questions, (iv) events we participate in, (v) promotions and other offers, and (vi) calls made to customer service and accounting centers that may be recorded.
The types of personal information we may obtain include the following: Individual and business contact information (such as name, legal entity name, physical address, email address, and phone or fax numbers).
Shipping information (such as [i] contact details related to shipping, such as shipper’s and consignee’s name, physical address, email address, and phone number, [ii] signature for proof of delivery, [iii] MARDOM GROUP account number, and [iv] information provided to help us access locations where we provide services) and information provided to us related to the content of certain shipments, but only to the extent that an identifiable person can be linked to such content.
We also receive personal information from consumers on behalf of our clients to be able to provide services. We may receive personal information from third parties, including public databases, social media platforms, or external partners, such as analytical or marketing data providers.
When we pick up or deliver a shipment or provide other services, we may obtain data about the physical location. This includes, for example, data that identifies the actual location of a physical address through information such as GPS data, geolocation codes, latitude and longitude information, and images of various locations.
Additionally, when you visit our websites, use our applications, or interact with tools, widgets, or plugins related to MARDOM GROUP, we may collect information through automated means, such as cookies and web beacons. Information we collect in this way includes IP address, unique device identifier, browser characteristics, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URL links, information about actions taken, and dates and times of activity. A ‘cookie’ is a text file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other internet-connected devices to uniquely identify that visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in that browser. A ‘web beacon,’ also known as an internet tag, pixel tag, or transparent GIF, links web pages or applications to web servers and may be used to transmit information back to a web server. Through these automated collection methods, we can obtain and store ‘clickstream data’ to understand usage patterns. We may link certain data elements we have collected through automated methods, such as information about your browser, with other information we have obtained about you to determine, for example, whether you successfully opened an email we sent. We may also use third-party analytics tools to collect information about visitor traffic on our websites or applications. Your browser may provide instructions on how to be notified when you receive certain types of cookies or how to restrict or disable them. However, please note that without cookies, you may not be able to use all the features of our websites or applications. We and others (such as our advertising networks) may collect personal information about the online activities of our visitors over time and across third-party websites when they use our websites and applications.
Third-party applications, tools, widgets, and plugins on our websites and applications, such as the Facebook ‘Like’ button, may also serve as automated means to collect information related to your interactions with these features. This information is subject to the privacy policies or notices of these providers.
The data is stored on cloud storage servers and/or on-site servers, through proprietary means or external providers as applicable.
We will not retain your personal data for longer than necessary for the purposes for which we have processed your personal information. After the retention period, we will delete or anonymize your personal data unless we need to retain some of your personal data for another purpose. We will only do so if we have a legal basis to retain your personal data. We will also ensure that personal data is only accessible for that other purpose.
For example, we may need your personal data to complete the customs clearance process. Customs laws dictate that we have to retain/store -some of- that personal data. This period varies from 3 to 10 years, depending on the applicable country and customs laws. In such cases, we will only store the necessary Personal Data to fulfill our legal obligations.
Please contact us using the above contact details if you have questions about specific retention periods.

In addition, we use information collected online through cookies, web beacons and other automated means for purposes such as (i) customizing users’ visits to our websites and our applications, (ii) delivering content (including advertising) tailored to our users’ interests and the way our users navigate our websites and our applications, and (iii) managing our business. We may supplement the data we collect through automated means with information about your location (such as your zip code) to provide you with content that may be of interest to you. We also use this information to help diagnose service and technical problems, administer our websites and our applications, identify users of our websites and our applications, and gather demographic information about our users. We use clickstream data to determine usage patterns and how we can best tailor our websites and applications to meet the needs of our users. Our websites and our applications are not designed to respond to browser “do not track” requests.
On our websites and in our applications, we may collect information about your online activities that will be used to provide you with advertising about products and services tailored to your personal interests. This section of our Privacy Notice provides details and explains how you can exercise your choices.
You may see certain advertisements on other websites because we participate in ad networks. Ad networks allow us to target our messages to users through demographic, interest-based and contextual means. These networks track your online activities over time by collecting information through automated means, including the use of cookies, web server logs and web beacons. The networks use this information to show you advertisements that may be tailored to your personal interests. The information our ad networks may collect includes information about your visits to websites that participate in the relevant ad networks, such as the pages or ads you visit and the actions you may take on those websites. This data collection takes place on our websites and on external websites that participate in ad networks. This process also helps us track the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.
We do not sell or otherwise share personal information about you, except as described in this Privacy Notice. To perform our pickup and delivery services, we share shipping information with third parties, such as shippers, consignees, third-party payers, and recipients. We also share personal information with third parties who perform services on our behalf based on instructions we give them. These third parties are not authorized by us to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or comply with legal requirements.
We may also share the personal information we collect with our affiliates, franchisees, resellers, and joint marketing partners.
