Azua Port
Also known as Puerto Viejo de Azua Port, this port is located approximately 15 kilometers southwest of the city of Azua. Originally constructed in the 1950s, the port was seldom used until the completion of the LPG terminal in the 1990s. In 2002, a power plant was built nearby, along with a 12-inch diameter, 600-meter-long pipeline connecting the pier to two storage tanks with a total capacity of 17,800 cubic meters. In 2007, hoppers and a conveyor belt were installed on the west side of the pier, facilitating the unloading of clinker and cement.
